This year the Books From Russia stand will be a preview of Global Market Forum: Russia, BookExpo America 2012, and will offer US publishers the chance to discover Russia's dynamic publishing market.

During the celebration of Russian literature at the London Book Fair 2011 a dynamic and extensive presentation of the Publishing activities of the Moscow City Government was held at the Russian Pavilion. Here are some facts presented to the audience of the Russian Market Focus programme in London this April.

The winners of the Big Book Prize for 2010 were announced on 23 November at the award ceremony at Pashkov Dom. First Prize was awarded to Pavel Basinsky (Lev Tolstoy: Flight from Paradise / Лев Толстой: бегство из рая). Second Prize was awarded to Alexander Ilichevsky (The Persian / Перс). Third Prize was awarded to Victor Pelevin (T).

Vladimir Sorokin has beaten off fierce competition to win the 2011 Nose Prize. The Nose Prize, now in the second year of its existence, was established by the Mikhail Prokhorov Fund to reward books revealing new trends in Russian society.
